Updates
In order of importance:
1) Wee-beastie is still alive and growing right on schedule — 8w6d today (2 days head of LMP calculations). The heart-rate is high — 182 bpm — but the physician’s assistant said that this is fine (she even used the word “perfect” again).
2) The Colace/fiber/increased fluid intake regimen worked. Finally.
3) My mother has decided not to leave my father. For now, at least. She still does not know I am pregnant, and I intend to keep it that way as long as possible.

Yay! Such good news on all fronts.
Stay away from applesauce and bananas. East anything with a P (peaches, pears, prunes, plums, etc) - P is for poop.

Thrilled to hear about wee-beastie, even if I’m not exactly sure what the appropriate reaction is to your other news.

What great news! I’m glad the colace & fiber are working for you, too. (I am having similar problems in that dept.) What a relief to hear your mom is staying with your dad for now. I hope they can work it out. I absolutely understand keeping the pregnancy news private. I didn’t tell my mom our news this time till 11-12 weeks, when I had CVS testing. Lots of people like to wait till the 1st trimester ends to share their news. It can be kind of fun having a happy *secret* between you & DH (except my DH can’t keep a secret and he told his mom way before the 12 week mark, only I never knew till later). LOL! Best wishes Momma & baby!!
Congrats on everything looking perfect with your wee beastie!

I’m not sure if mineral oil is okay with the wee beastie, but it sure works for Little Mr. Hard Poops (aka MM).
